Realiazing the Net-Zero target in the ASEAN region by adopting greener power-gen technologies and smarter grid infrastructure deployment.
The ASEAN member states are committed collectively to raising the share of renewable energy in the region’s energy mix to 23% by 2025. Since COP26, eight ASEAN member states pledged to each achieve net zero nationally by 2050, with Indonesia targeting 2060.
With the significant technological advances of solar pv, wind power generation, energy storage, smart grid and digitalization, energy transition is forging ahead globally on the fast track. While the supply side is evolving quickly, exisiting grid infrastructures are not catching up the pace in the region and are facing critical challenges to accomodate renewable energy integration, incurring loss of power, and regular interuptions during the hot season.
To better understand the situation and cope with those challenges, we are pleased to announce that the Future Energy and Grid Southeast Asia Summit 2024 is going to take place on 27 - 28 November in Manila, the Philippines.
